All-in-all, it was a good deal with quick shipping. Some of the corners of the book were a little mashed in, but that could've been due to shipping. I'm sure the book was new when I received it, but maybe they don't have the best place to store the books. The book was mailed out very quickly and it was a new book. However, when I received the book, it appeared as though it had been stored in a moist place because the pages were rippled like they would be if they got wet. Everything (CD, online code) was included and intact.
Bate's is the most used book for PE, use it, learn it, take it to bed. is the bread and butter to practice PE for med students.
This book is full of pictures to help understand how the physical exam is supposed to be preformed.
I found many free videos online too - so I would not recommend the CD videos. But certainly the textbook is a keeper. Can't say enough about Bates.Somehow I got the video CDs that accompany - did not mean to order those. There is really valuable information on soup to nuts assessment and how to organize your write up. This text was comprehensive and easy to read. I love this text and will keep on my shelf. Colorful, great illustrations so that assessment techniques are understandable. Did not like them as they are comprised of short segments and you have to keep clicking in and out of the sections between each.
The book was listed as used but looks like new. The vendor service was quick. It is easy to read with lots of helpful hints.
